If we are intrigued by the original shape of ''Mallea'' – created by the 4 legs of its square structure pressing against the circular shape of the top – we are just as taken with its edged granito top, whose connection with the base is particularly well-considered. Guillaume Delvigne’s intent can be seen in the design, which expresses the notions of distortion and pliability through materials which are, for all that, rigid.
